In Japan, tested a volleyball robot
Specialists from Tsukuba University built and tested a robotic training complex for volleyball players
The device consists of three pairs of robotic manipulators that move from side to side under the grid. The device performs the functions of blocking players, writes New Scientist.
The system is equipped with three players who can move at speeds up to 3.7 meters per second. The system has already been tested in training by members of the Japanese women’s team. Six players trained with the robot for eight days, while some noted that such a training is different in sensations from a real game.
